Pomegranate

Pomegranates are drought-resistant. They can grow in regions between the tropics and the 40th parallel, where the Mediterranean rainfall pattern is effective, at elevations of up to 1000 meters. They can withstand temperatures as low as -10 °C. An annual rainfall of 500 mm is sufficient. Being a sun-loving plant, its productivity increases with intermittent irrigation during the summer.
